Monuments of Mars

Monuments of Mars is an ideological continuation of the Pharaoh’s Tomb / Arctic Adventure dilogy - but only ideological, because it is made on the same engine and the overall game style is similar, the main character is already different. The action takes place in the future, in Martian caves, your hero is a rescuer, sent to search for the missing expedition of astronauts, who may have been captured by Martians.

In general, the gameplay is similar to the first two games: there are not very many enemies, but there are a lot of traps, this time we have a laser gun as a weapon, to which we need to collect ammunition, to move around the game we need collected keys, at some levels you need to press buttons or levers (or shoot at them). The role of bonuses is now played by letters and figures of triangles (strange, but what can you do). There are only two types of enemies - aliens and robots.

Graphically, the game looks, perhaps, worse than the first two - in any case, it looks, unlike them, somewhat blurry, although overall not bad. Alas, playing is not so interesting either - there will be no more complicated puzzles to go through each screen, therefore, although the tradition is not broken - the same eighty levels - you can go through Monuments of Mars much faster than the first two parts. Therefore, the score this time is much lower, and the recommendation is only to the biggest fans of the genre.
