Contra Hard Corps was released in 1994 and is a game of ala run-shoot. All that was required of the player is to defend the levels from the huge number of opponents and dunk the bosses that were fully provided in the game, as well as to make plot decisions by choosing a certain path.
Three versions of the game were released: Japanese original, American and European, which had the name Probotector. It differed in that the characters were replaced with robots, and also some of the main characters' phrases were changed. Oh yeah.. in the American and European versions, the level of complexity was very high and the hero died, having only injured himself once. The Japanese version was more loyal. And to lose a lifetime, it was necessary to lose 3 cells of health.
The game has 4 characters and each of them has 4 unique weapons, not counting the standard and the bomb.
The plot of the game as in the previous series of Contra, tells about the invasion of Earth by the hordes of mutants and robots, and the body of Contra is trying to stop them with all its might. Nothing unusual if it were not for the design of all these hellish machines and creatures.
